This is not too surprising as June falls in the season with the most agreeable weather and where most wedding flowers bloom.

June was named after the Roman goddess of marriage
Back in the Roman times when pagan festivals are very rampant, the first day of June was dedicated to the deity Juno, the goddess of marriage and childbirth. Couples who marry in June are thought to be blessed with happiness and prosperity.
June is the month next to the annual bath of people in Medieval period
Whether or not this is true, it still sounds interesting how the people in Medieval times are said to take a bath only once a year and marry on June when they are still clean and less stinky. Flowers were then brought by brides while walking down the aisle to hide their body odor.
June is the best time to marry in accordance to peak harvest
A June wedding could possibly mean a summer pregnancy which is still early enough for harvest and the bride can still help with the work. That also means that the bride will give birth in Spring and will be healthy enough to help in the next year’s harvest.

June is considered one of the lucky months to marry. The other months are October and December.
